With Christmas out the way, 2021 is only days away and many will be praying for a better year following the on-going coronavirus pandemic. Among those sharing their hopes was Strictly Come Dancing‘s HRVY, who sent out an urgent message ahead of the new year.
Taking to Twitter, the 21-year-old begged the universe for a better year.
“Please, please can 2021 be kind to us,” he wrote.
Fans flooded the comments section to agree with him, sending their hopes and wishes as we inch closer to the end of 2020.
One replied: “Hope so!”
“We can all pray, we need a better time!” someone else added.
Last week, the singer was dancing his way around the Strictly ballroom but now the BBC extravaganza has come to an end, HRVY revealed he’s taking does time out for himself.
Earlier today, he left his fans confused with a cryptic message on Instagram that informed users he would be taking some time away from his phone.
He wrote: “Thinking of you all. Just taking some time away from my phone.
“Be back soon. Can’t wait to be back making music.”
“While, technically, they may not have been practising social distancing, they are both young and this was before Tier 4 restrictions came into play,” the source added to The Sun.
Express.co.uk has contacted a representative for Maisie, HRVY and Strictly for comment.
It comes after HRVY revealed the pair had been told off by BBC bosses for getting too close on the show than what was allowed due to coronavirus rules and restrictions put in place.
He admitted they had been “slightly closer than two metres” while talking to each other and received a telling off.
The singer said: “Obviously we try our best to socially distance when we are walking around the studios and outside, but obviously when you are walking and talking you don’t even realise.
